Crompton Court

Excellent experience! I accompanied my parents to London for a few days and this accommodation proved to be an excellent choice. We booked the 2 baths 2 beds appartment which was perfect for the 3 of us. Very clean and fully equipped. Free Wi-Fi. Location is very convenient with shops and restaurants within 5 minutes walk as well as tube and buses around the corner which get you into the center of London in 20 minutes. There is free car park on site. Staff is extremely helpful. Really could not fault and will definitely use again soon as I found this self-catered experience a fantastic way to enjoy a stay in London at a reasonable price.
Fantastic! I am working in London for 10 months and have just switched from a central London hotel to Crompton Court appartments. The appartment was newly built and furnished to a very high specification. There is a bedroom, separate living room/kitchen and a decent size bathroom. Having a separate kicthen and dining room after living in a 'box' for the last 2 months has been great. The kitchen has everything you need - microwave, oven, cuttlery, plates etc. - even a teapot. The living room has a comfoatable couch, coffee table and arm chair, with a TV and a DVD player. The TV has a decent number of digital channels, although I didn't use it much. In terms of location, Wood Green is not too bad - much quieter than central London, but the tube station is a 5 minute stroll away and you can get to Kings Cross on the Picadilliy line in little under 15 minutes. Mayfair would be about 25 minutes. There are lots of shops and restaraunts within the area, and I have also joined a local gym. The patios are an unexpected bonus - you can see Alexandra Palace from the 1st floor up. The rooms are non smkoking, but for those of you that want to ruin your lungs and respiritory system, there are smoking bins on the patio! All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by Crompton Court. As one reviewer has already said, its not a hotel, so you need to be a bit more self sufficient, but I can't rate it high enough and I am looking forward to a much more relaxed stay in London from now onwards.
Great clean affordable! We stayed here for 1 week in september 2011. we got a 2 bedroom apt. It was very clean, and the living/dining room/kitchen area was very spacious. (we had unit #9, on the top floor). Street noise was noticeable if you left he windows open. The balcony was huge! the kitchen very well equipped. (bring your own tupperware, or get zipper bags at the store for leftovers). The staff nice and friendly. A grocery big store a 5 minute walk. Tube is a 5 minute walk (woodgreen), 20 minutes to piccadilly. There's a nice toddler park 5 minutes away. (we had a 3 year old)
Excellent family accommodation in London! We stayed at the Palmers Green Apts in Jan 2011 and found the 2 bedroom apartment perfect for our stay in London. The apartments were a home from home for us, especially travelling with 2 children. A cot and highchair were provided, both in excellent condition. The apartment was spotless and had a well equipped kitchen. Washer / dryer is always a bonus on a long trip with children! Secure parking and entry to the apartments. A new Waitrose was opening directly behind the block, perfect! The staff were very friendly at all times. We would have no hesitation recommending the apartments and we will definitely stay again on our trip to the UK this year.
Wonderful holiday accommodation! We booked an apartment for 2 and the price was very reasonable. Location is about 7 mins walk from Wood Green tube station. The General Manager, Mr Peter, is a wonderful man who was able to accommodate our requirements. The apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, attached bath and toilet and other amenities. Our one week stay there was very comfortable and would recommend highly to anyone looking for appropriate accommodation for family holidays in London.
Just great! Excellent value for London. You won't find anything that neat and spacious in the city center, so the 20 minutes tube ride to Piccadilly Circus is absolutely worth the whole thing. Tons of groceries nearby. Highly recommended!
Perfect place for large families in London area! We stayed at the appartment for 9 days and enjoed the stay very much. The appartment is brand new, includes a fantastic kitchen, comfortable beds, bath and shower, LCD TV,.. It is located very close to shoping centers as well as the underground to the center of london.
Hard to fault! Stayed here as part of an ongoing European trip. Extremely good value for money, very friendly manager and staff. Clean, spacious, good facilities, close to supermarket and shops. Also conveniently close to London Underground and London bus services to town. Really enjoyed our stay
Fabulous, everything's new, comfortable, large and quiet! A northern location on the Picadilly tube line has the Crompton Court Apartments in the Wood Green area which are fabulous! A full kitchen with a full sized kitchen table, living room, new TV, big bedrooms with very comfortable beds, everything looks new, tiled floors in bathrooms, quiet at night, etc. Can't say enough good things about it. Very impressed. Lots of shopping around the area with a full-sized grocery store (not found in central London) close by. You will actually see kids in this area of the city! For those travelling to London in the spring/summer/fall they have a large, yes large, patio with a table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. Washing machine in the kitchen, DVD movies that you can borrow to watch (didn't realize Canadian/American DVDs are coded differently and don't work in the UK). All the amenities you'll need are here. Unless you want room service and your apartment cleaned each day - it's not a hotel.
Very impressed! I was very impressed with the quality of the apartment. I received multiple e-mails with important details before our trip, which was very helpful. They also arranged for a cab to pick us up at the airport (definitely the best way to go). Upon arrival, we were met by a representative and given the details on how the appliances and everything worked (great if your from another can be very confusing). We leased the two bedroom-two bath apartment which was very large and had all of the modern conveniences. There were 3 of us, and the price was very reasonable...especially in comparison with the price for the small hotel rooms! Grocery store and shopping within walking distance. Close to an underground tube station for transport around the city. The only thing that was minimally inconvenient was that there was no plug in the bathrooms for hairdryers/flatirons. The bedroom area is not well lit enough to see to put on makeup and if you use their blowdryer, the cord isn't long enough to see at the mirror either. Minor inconveniences. Internet connection was great and very fast in comparison to the DSL we have at home. All in all...we were VERY pleased and highly recommend these apartments!
Great apartment, lovely experience! We really enjoyed staying at Crompton Court! We had a very nice welcome and the staff were so lovely and friendly! The apartment was very clean and with every comfort. The kitchen was fully equipped and, really important for us, internet was freely available!!!! The location was perfect for what we needed and many shops, restaurants and supermarkets were in easy walking distance. The Wood Green Underground was only a few minutes away and the wonderful Alexandra Palace with its park was just a couple of bus stops away. We loved it and we'll be back! :)
Great Place to Stay! We traveled to London on June 23 and stayed at the Crompton Court for 5 days. Since there was 4 adults (wife and two older teenage daughters) we booked the two-bedroom apartment. It exceed our expectations...very comfortable, safe location, clean, internet access, and close to grocery and reasonable priced restaurants. The management (Peter) was flexible and ensured our stay was pleasant. There was a booking mix-up on the apartment and he went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of. I would recommend the Crompton Court to anyone traveling to London for either business or vacation. It's very reasonably priced and gets you away from all the noise of central London. It was great having two showers. There is a tube station within a 5-minute walk (Wood Green) and the ride to central London takes about 25 minutes on the Piccadilly line. A zone 4 to zone 1 all day pass is about 6 GBP per person.
Great Value Excellent Accomodation! These self catering apartments are about 5 to 10 minutes walk from Wood Green tube station. We stayed in Apt 6 which was the smallest with no balcony, but we were aware of this when we made the booking. It cost £75 per night for the apartment. It was still very spacious with a double bedroom and single sofa bed. There was tea coffee and water etc in the apt on arrival. There is a pub accross the road that does nice food and has a beer garden. Also supermarket right around the corner. This would be great for families wanting to see London on a budget as I think the two bedroom ones are only about 120 per night. Definately worth checking out and its far better value than any of the hotels I have stayed or worked in, in London.
